Summer Camp 2010
Allergy Treatment Plan
BSA Medical Form
Medication Order Form
Registration Form The Troop will attend
summer camp at Camp Workcoeman in New
Hartford, CT the week of 7/4 – 7/10. The
2010 Program Theme is: “Scouting through
the Ages.” With this theme we will be
celebrating Scouting 100th Anniversary. The
Troop is planning a full and
activities-packed week at camp for your
Scout. We look forward to your son's
participation.
As a Chartered Troop, with scout leaders
attending camp, the fee is $330.00 for the
week of camp. The full fee must be remitted
to council by May 22nd. Camp fees received
after this date will be accessed a late
registration fee of $25.00, bringing the
total to $350.00. Return your son’s
registration to me no later than May 1st.
(This will give me time to organize the
Troop registration and get the Troop’s
registration to council by the May 21st
deadline.)
Pre-planning is a must by your scout and
you. It will make the summer camp experience
both rewarding and fun. Troop 125’s program
provides many opportunities to participate
in a variety of outdoor activities. Summer
camp is an opportunity to develop
appropriate new skills and have fun doing
so. During the Troop’s week at camp each
Scout is expected to participate in a
minimum of three Merit Badge Class sessions,
except for first year scouts who will
participant in a special program designed
just for them.
Scouts, who have attained the rank of 1st
Class and have attended at least one year of
summer camp, are urged to consider attending
“Trail to Eagle Camp." This Specialty Camp
is an excellent opportunity to earn Merit
Badges and develop the skills necessary to
achieve the Eagle rank.
Each Scout attending camp must have a
completed Medical (aka physical), an
Administration of Medication, and Food
Allergy form. A current physical is required
every year, the Medical must be currently
dated and signed by a physician and
parent/guardian. Please send the completed
forms (plus two copies, please) to me no
later than June 1st.
At summer camp a Troop photo will be
taken. If your son would like this keepsake,
please complete the order from and return
with his registration.
At the end of the week, on Saturday, July
11, there will be a Court of Honor where the
Troop will be honored for the Scouts
accomplishments during the week. Following
the Court of Honor there is a family chicken
barbeque. This meal is part of your scout’s
registration for camp. If your family would
like to stay and join him for lunch, please
complete the barbeque reservation form.
Each year the Troop gets a special
t-shirt for summer camp. The Troop will make
a special effort to wear this t-shirt during
the morning assembly and flag ceremony. This
will be there uniform on that occasion. I
encourage you to order at least one. Please
complete and submit your order for t-shirts,
and any other troop clothing, by using the
enclosed order form. Please submit this with
your scouts registration.
Included with this letter is a list of
personal items and equipment required at
Summer Camp. Personal “gear” should be
packed in either a duffel or footlocker. We
recommend a footlocker that will fit under
the bunk (12x17x30). If you have questions,
please contact any adult leader or myself.
